I'll need to jack my car up pretty soon when I paint my calipers; I always use ramps for oil changes and just don't trust that emergency jack that comes in the trunk. I'll probably end up buying one, but does anyone here have one they may be looking to get rid of? Or lend for a couple of weeks?

Just use the emergency jack to jack the car up and then let it down and rest the A-arm or rear end on a cinder block. That's what I always do when i work on one wheel area at a time. I have jackstands, but my jack doesn't go high enough

You can get those small 2 ton floor jacks with the removable handle for like $25. Then you'll always have one. I bought a full size jack at sears for 90
