If you live in MA, chances are you need a front plate on your car. I hate them, and im planning on getting a euro plate on it. Here is the way to avoid the law:
1. Take off the front plate on your car, and hide it in your house.
2. Goto the registry with 10 dollars.
3. Talk to the person at the desk, and they will charge you 10 bucks to get your registration reprinted stating that you are allowed to only have one plate until the other one comes.
4. When the other one comes in the mail, just dont put it on, tell the cop that pulls you over you havent received it yet!
Bam! Thats not sooo illegal now, is it?

I don't live in europe and neither does my car. Kind of overdone in my opinion. I'll stick with the legal plate so the cops don't have stupid reasons to pull me over so they can find real reasons

I agree with Sly on this one. No reason to inspire the cops to pull you over. It's like asking to get in trouble for something else.

I probably should not be opening me mouth, but I have been driving around for 6 years without a front plate on and have never been stopped or asked about. Dont get me wrong I have been pull over in the cobra for the regular, check to make sure the car is not stolen routine. No cop has ever asked about the font plate. One thing I have learned is that if you dont have in on the front of the car at least it should be in the car. I am knocking on wood big time now

When/if I get my new car I'll just be taking it off & saying that the holder was broken when someone backed into it & I'm waiting for a new one. Just keep the plate in your glove box or something. Just to show you have it.

The front European plate does look phat, I'll admit to that. You'd get pulled over by every cop though. They're all gonna be thinking, "What the hell, did he bring his car over on his raft, that friggin illegal immigrant? I'm gonna pull him over. Mmm donut."

No front plate on mycar for 5 years..no problems at all ;D (knock on big wood)
What's the European plate for? You don't see the Chinese saying "I'm gonnao get me a Yank Lisence plate! Won't my government love me then!"
Shouldn't European plates go in European cars?

Ditto, and I was pulled over by a cop a few weeks ago. He didn't say a thing, and I really wouldn't expect a cop to be such a hardass about it unless I was doing some other ridiculous thing like doing donuts on Memorial Drive, with "Fuck tha police" blaring out of my system, and flinging road flares out the window. I can see getting a no-front-plate ticket in that scenario.

I must be the only one that thinks they look ridiculous Hello? Did you miss my post? I was pulled over in meredith NH for no front plate and all the cop said was make sure you get that fixed because I wouldn't want a cop to give you a ticket.
